Please listen to your body and move at your own pace. In Pilates, we never work through pain. If something doesn’t feel right, ease off, modify, or simply skip it. If you’re pregnant, postpartum, or have any injuries or health concerns, check with your doctor before joining in. Every body is different. Take what feels good, leave what doesn’t, and rest whenever you need to. 🌿

Why Starting Right Matters
It’s tempting to jump straight into a full Pilates class and figure it out as you go. And you can, but taking the time to learn the foundations first makes every class after this one more effective.
Pilates is built on a small number of key principles, core engagement, breath, control, precision, and flow. Once you understand those and feel them in your body, they carry through into everything else you do. You’ll get more out of every class, progress faster, and move with a confidence that takes some people years to develop.
Twenty minutes now saves you a lot of confusion later.
What Makes Pilates Different From Other Workouts?
Most workouts focus on what you do, how many reps, how much weight, how fast. Pilates focuses on how you do it.
That shift changes everything. Instead of rushing through movements, you slow down and learn to feel what’s working. Instead of relying on momentum, you build genuine strength and control. Instead of finishing exhausted, you finish feeling strong, aligned, and surprisingly calm.
It’s a completely different relationship with movement, and this class is where that relationship begins.
Who This Class Is For?
This class is for anyone who is completely new to Pilates or who has tried it before and never felt quite sure if they were doing it right.
It’s especially good if you:
- Have never done Pilates before and don’t know where to start
- Have tried Pilates classes but found them hard to follow
- Want to understand the why behind the movements, not just the what
- Are returning to exercise after a long break and want a safe, supported start
- Prefer learning properly from the beginning rather than figuring it out as you go
- Want a strong foundation to build a long-term Pilates practice from
Take a deep breath, you deserve this!
