Instructions
Crumble
In a bowl, combine 3 cups of rye flour, 6 tbsp of coconut sugar, and 1 tsp of cinnamon.
Add 4 tbsp of coconut oil to the dry ingredients and mix until the mixture becomes crumbly.
Gradually add 1/2 cup of water, mixing until a dough forms. If the dough is too dry, add a bit more water, one tbsp at a time.
Press ¾ of the dough into the dish.
Filling
Slice the apples.
In a bowl, toss the apple slices with 2 tbsp of coconut sugar and 1/2 tsp of cinnamon.
Add apple slices to the pie crust.
Sprinkle with leftover dough.
Baking & Serving
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Bake the pie for 20-30 minutes, or until the apples are tender and the crust is golden brown.
Best served hot!
For an extra touch, you can add a dollop of vanilla cream made with coconut sour cream, coconut sugar, and vanilla bean powder.
Notes
Serving:
For an extra touch, serve it with vanilla cream made of coconut sour cream (I use Planton), coconut sugar and vanilla bean pod.
